About The Artist
Let's just chat instead! I'm Lynne Knudtson and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest; Olympia, Washington to be exact. Here are some of my favorite places close to home...

As for my passion for beads and jewelry, I started playing with wood beads when I was in High School and have come back to beading several times throughout the years.
In 2000, I started designing jewelry again, glass beads became my pass time and then I discovered 'Lampwork' beads on eBay. That was the start of my mission to find someone local to teach me how to melt glass. Well, it wasn't easy but I found a class at a local shop that had a couple of great ladies that were teaching a 'beginners' class in the spring of 2001. I bought all of my equipment after the first night -- it was a six week class!
I would bring beads that I purchased on eBay to the class and ask them to teach me how to make them. They were sweet and I had a great time! I learned how to make a 'twisty' the first night, I was hooked right then. The same night, the instructors demonstrated how to make a complicated twisty, I got to keep a nice long piece of it. I later made beads with it and sold them on Ebay, boy did I have a lot to learn!
I have taken classes with Patricia Frantz, Kimberly Affleck, Larry Brickman, Andrea Gaurino and Michael Barley. I have learned so much from each and every one of them. I have also taught Beginning Beadmaking and enjoyed every one of my Students from the very youngest (11) to the very oldest (78).
Another passion is bead and gem shows. I travel to Tucson twice a year for the BIG shows and several smaller ones throughout the year. It's fascinating to see so many beads, whether they are glass, silver, stone or whatever!
